  • How do I secure a booking?
    When you contact Jojo’s we will check the date and time is available. We will then provide an estimate for your event. All of our bookings are secured with a 30% Non Refundable deposit. Until the deposit is received no bookings are secured. We only have 1 x Award Winning Van, which is extremely popular, so we are unable to hold any dates without a deposit.
  • What do I need to do in preparation?
    Relax, we have everything covered. We provide everything needed for your event. We bring compostable knifes & forks, napkins, tasty condiments and lashing of salt & vinegar. A good power supply would be great if you can accommodate, it saves us using our silent (ish) power generator.
  • Can Jojo’s cater for dietary requirements?
    Jojo’s can cater for Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten Free, Dairy Free and Religious requirements. If you are unsure, please contact us for further information.
  • Do my guests need to preorder?
    Pre-orders are not a necessity, Jojo’s will bring plenty of tasty produce. Often our Corporate clients will pre-order with time slots, as the staff may be working to tight time scheduled. Celebration events – where the element of time may not be so stringent – we can let your guests choose from the menu on the day of service.
  • How do you deliver such high-quality food when catering for very large events?
    Jojo’s are experts in large events. Regardless of the event size we still work on the same principle – “Hot, Fresh & Tasty”. In order to achieve this we will bring additional cooking equipment and additional trained staff to keep up with demand.
  • What is your green ethos?
    We use sustainable Cod. We use compostable cutlery. We use sustainable Palm Oil (100% Vegetable Oil). Our waste oil is converted in Bio Diesel. Any food waste is separated and then broken down so that it gives off biogas. Our cardboard is separated and recycled. All our packaging is Eco Friendly.
  • How far does Jojo’s travel?
    We travel the entire country every week. From Brighton to Inverness and everywhere In between.
  • What is the maximum number of covers can Jojo’s cater for?
    We have no limits. As the events grow so does our capacity. We will bring more staff, more equipment and more tasty produce as the event grows. Our record to date is a flower show at Blenheim Palace - 50,000 people over 3 days.
  • What is the minimum number of covers that Jojo’s will cater for?
    We do not have a minimum number of covers, but we do have a minimum charge. We have catered for a family of 5 persons, but the minimum charge remained the same. Mon – Thurs Lunch: £12- Feeds up to 60 persons (Minimum spend £720) Mon – Thurs Evening: £14 - Feeds up to 60 persons (Minimum spend £840) Fry – Sunday Weekends: £15 - Feeds up to 75 persons (Minimum spend £1125) (Excludes minimum booking fee of £199).
  • Can we reduce the number of covers on our booking?
    We accept events based on the number of guests that are outlined by customers at the time of booking and whilst the number of guests can be increased, we do not allow a reduction in numbers. The number of guests are a factor that drive the cost charged for the event and also aids our business arrangements and factors around food wastage. At certain times of the year we are extremely busy and have to turn away potential customers for dates where deposits have been taken. If we were to allow numbers to be reduced this would also affect the price quotation.
  • What is average service speed?
    Our standard service speed is between 80 and 100 covers every 60 minutes, but with additional equipment and staffing we can increase this to 250 covers every 60 minutes.
  • How long does it take to set up and pack down?
    We want our clients to spend their time enjoying their event and not worrying about the caterer! For an average size event, Jojo’s will set up with minimum fuss and be ready to serve within 40 minutes of our arrival. Our pack down time is also around 40mins.
  • Can we add decorations to the van?
    Yes of course, your decoration ideas can be discussed before your event. Please avoid anything that may cause damage to the van. Items leant up against our van may cause damage in windy conditions.
  • Can you cater for shift workers/night shifts?
    Yes we can. We often cater for large corporate events that cover multiple shifts over a 24 hour period or longer. We are happy to quote for your requirements upon request.
  • Do you have all the compliance documents?
    Yes. We are a member of NCASS. We will provide you with – Gas certificate, risk assessment, food safety documents, public liability, and fire assessment before your event.
  • Can you provide alcoholic drinks?
    Sorry we do not offer alcoholic drinks. We do not have an alcohol license.
  • Can you provide soft drinks?
    Jojo’s is happy to provide cold soft drinks at your event. Nostalgic cans like Vimto, Dr Pepper and Dandelion and Burdock always go down well at our events. This would be an additional cost. Jojo’s can provide a quote for this upon request.
  • Some of our guests did not attend our event, can we have the left over food?
    All our food is cooked to order. We are happy to supply you with any uncooked leftover food however we will not accept any responsibility on how this produce is handled after Jojo’s has departed the event.
  • Can we sample the food before our event?
    Yes of course, Jojo’s Shop is open seven days a week. We can organise a tasting session at your convenience. Jojo’s Shop, 39 Bodmin Avenue, Stafford, ST17 0EF.
  • Will Jojo’s van require Power or Water?
    Access to one 13amp power supply (domestic plug) is always welcomed. We can be self sufficient if required. Access to a water tab is also welcomed. We will have water butts.
  • What are the dimensions of Jojo’s Van?
    Jojo’s van is 2.5m wide x 7m long x 2.7m tall. We just ask for flat and solid ground for service.
  • How do I secure a booking?
    All of our bookings are secured with a 30% Non Refundable deposit. Until the deposit is receive no bookings are secured. We only have 1 x Award Winning Van, which is extremely popular, so we are unable to hold any dates without a deposit.
  • Why are your deposits non refundable?
    All our deposits are non refundable. We have a large amount of administration time within our business and when taking bookings we may have paid a third party to receive leads from clients. When we secure a booking we will reserve that date and time specifically for your event. We will turn down all future enquiries for your date and time.
  • What payment methods do you accept?
    Most payments are made via BACS. We can accept all type of credit cards but a 3.5% fee will be applied for this.
  • What is the payment schedule?
    30% deposit (non-refundable). 40% 8 weeks before your event. 30% 14 days before your event.
